AUDIO EXPERIENCE DESIGN

Imperial College London

Jack Webb

PhD Student

Before joining Imperial in 2024, I completed an MSc in Audio and Music Technology at the University of York. My thesis focused on adaptive beamforming for personal sound zones in the context of live sonic events.

Having gained an interest in music perception while studying Music as an undergraduate at the University of Cambridge, my research is now oriented towards music processing in hearing aids. Specifically, my PhD will investigate how machine learning can be used to achieve individualised music processing profiles, with a view to improving perceived audio quality for hearing aid users.
